I just wanted to post this to let others know of my problems with the New NForce2 chipset motherboards and their 128 Bit DDR Memory access option. I have tried 2 motherboards, and 3 different memory types. I get the same results that are lockups and memory access errors from DVD2AVI, and bbMpeg. The resulting mpeg files are odd sized and the "bin-cue" files are unusable. If I try to burn a CD with what seems to be a normal sized set, it locks up my system. I used Nero and Fireburner to do this. The motherboards I have tried are Chaintech's Zenith "7NJS" and Leadtek's "7CR18D". The memory pairs's I used were 1) Kingston Technology's DDR2700 CL2.5, 2)GEIL's DDR3200 CL2.5, 3)GEIL's PC3200 CL2 Ultra. I have a clean setup Windows 2000 - Windows-XP dual boot system and so I have tried both versions of windows and all my hardware drivers are uptodate, and my mainboard BIOS's were the newest versions. I have tried from Default to Turbo settings for my memory and it did not change the errors.
If there is anyone else out there that has had success, let me know.
