Xvid on Ps2 ?

Maybe not the right section, but i wanne to know a few things.
I have a PS2 with the messiah 2 chip.
I read alot that you can play DIVX on it, and also XVID when ya change the FourCC code of that specific avi file.

I uses the FourCC changer that was with the Xvid codecs.
now my question is:

before:
FourCC Description Code = Xvid
FourCC Used Codec = Xvid

Is it okay to change them both to DIVX because i don't see Div5, i only See Div3, Div4 & Divx in this matter.

That should do it.

problem is i don't see DX50 !!!
i installed Divx 5.02 though

is it also possible to have the Subs in there ?

You don't have to select from the drop down list, you can type anything you want... You could change them to DICK if you wanted.

A DICK codec .. would be a catchy name >:) One thing i'm sure of, is that Windows Media Player woundn't read a "DICK" in my machine ..

Ok, i'll stop now ..

if you change the fourcc to "divx" your player might read those for sure .. i think!
