Nice, it claims to have DivX 5.03 Full Support (n-pass)...

AFAIK it's the second tool to support it...

I installed Xmpeg5.0a and gave it a shot, and the thing crashed all over the place. I couldn't even get the options all set up for an encode, much less actually try one. If anyone has success getting this to work, I'd love to know how. Running multi-pass encodes with Xmpeg4.5 is perfectly doable, I just set it up for 1st & Nth-pass, run, then change it to Nth & Nth pass and run two more times, and presto: 6-pass encode. But it'd be nice to have the ability to set it up once and just let all 6 passes run.

Well, nowadays I'm a fan of Divx5Enc+AviSynth+VirtualDub, but I'd like to see "my first crush" goin' on :rolleyes:

Yeah, me too. Especially since after several days of problem-free use, DivxPro5.03 is memory-leaking all over for me, but only in VirtualDub and VDubMod, I haven't experienced it in Xmpeg4.5

well, well i didn't even know Xmpeg was still around... :-P
but yes, in the good ole days befor gknot i was also using it, and i actually liked it. But after i've bought by new computer (upgarding from 400 to 2000 MHz and from win2k to winXP) i've never gotten xmpeg to work. i've switched over to gknot and never regretted it!
