major probs,is it just me?
i have the proper version (7.0.0.91)
i have followed the complete tuturial,

1.rip to hard drive using dvd decrytor in iso mode
2.mount with dameon tools
3.start pinnacle
4.select where i want the image to go ie: hard drive
5.go through the resize options

when i press start it takes me to the resize part,i go through the options and then it will start runnin, soon as it starts to encode my pc just freezes up,have to switch it off :(

trying to do SHREK + SIGNS

(funny thing is i can use instant copy on a dvd which has allready been backed up,just not from an original)

im runnin windows 2k sp3
using a 1800 xp+ amd
memory 768 ddr

nothin runnin in the background

i just need to know if this has happened to any1 else and how did u cure it?
was it a codec issuse?
is my pc just complete shite?
do i have to keep using dvd2one instead? :(

a real pissed of nifty
thanks for reading

You might try an updated or different video driver. That was what was causing my IC lock-ups. Also, look for strangeness in the video that is being displayed in IC7's display window. Is it clear or blocky? That was the indication on mine.

thx for replying

i will try the video card drivers but they seem stable to me only that programme making it lock up

u said "Also, look for strangeness in the video that is being displayed in IC7's display window. Is it clear or blocky?"

i cant get that far in the programme .if i choose "preview" it will just freeze the whole pc again :(

weird thing is aswell....i got a m8 to try it for me and he has the same win2k as me,same mobo, same cpu and it does exactly same to him as to me

im thinking it dont like my version of win2k?

That could be... I upgraded to XP while I was working on it.

I run IC on windows 2000 sp3..two computers no problems. both geforce vid cards. One is 30.82 vid driver and other is 40. or whatever the lastest is.

did you run memtest86 and prime95 to stress test your computer? People with DVD2SVCD encoding with CCE never knew they had a problem with their system. Many times it turned out to be bad memory stick or due to the fact they were overclocking which made their system unstable.

thx again for the replys

no i havent ran them tests but i will get the progs and try them, mind u i havent updated my video driver yet, that bis first then the tests

i encode with cce and dvd2one with no probs its just pinnacle...maybe it takes more stress from the cpu? than the average programme

but i will test them progs aswell and reply here with the outcome
thx for the advice
