Hi,

Just wondering how this is possible?

I have created my avi using GKnot, and made a wma v9 (VBR) audio file but I need to mux them! How?!!

(I know about ogg/mp3pro etc... lets ignore that ;))

Thankyou,

Robin

p.s. sorry if this should be in the audio section.. i thought I was :S .. perhaps admin will move it?

Yes WMA in any non microsoft file format is not possible. Not officially anyway. The unofficial version sounded awful and caused more problems than it ever could have solved. Why would you be wanting to use WMA. All independand tests I have seen basically say that there is truly little or no difference between WMA8 and WMA9. And of OGG MP3-PRO and WMA; WMA was the least quality of the three. This was in ff123's 64k tests. WMA pro is a slightly different story. It is a new codec. But the story is the same as far as AVI support.

Amir has prommised that there will be WMA and WMV 9 VFW codecs released in the near future. And they will be usable in AVI. But at a cost. There will be no VBR or multichannel support IIRC.

So again I have to ask what is it that you see as your real need to use WMA?
