Hello,

I searched the forum and found a few threads with similar problems that I have, but none of the threads had any resolution to the problem, not that worked for me anyway. These are the threads I'm refering to:

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=43230
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=43013
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40222

They are pretty old threads... so the issue might have been solved or just hanged in limbo, I can only guess.

My problem is this: I have a multi-pgc I want to reauthor in Scenarist. I use DiF4U to get my demuxed audio and video. This is not relevant but my video is downsized with CCE and pulldowned and dropped frame. When I import the M2V file into Scenarist the video duration is 24:10;09. But the audio (ac3-file 2ch 224kbps) is only 22:30;10. The end result after compiling and IFOUpdate being that the PGC has no audio at the end for about 2 minutes. Video and subtitles have their correct length and are played.

To eliminate the source of error I have looked at the audio stream using BeSweet: the demuxed ac3-file is full-length (about as long as the video).

So why is Scenarist cutting the ac3-file short? I look in the IFO-file for the title and all the PGCs have a 4 second long section in which the audio is only silence. This is the silence that comes before the ending credit and theme song is played. My wild guess is that Scenarist skips the rest of the audio because it thinks that there's no more coming after the silent 4 seconds.

Anyone having similar problems, please advice.

EDIT: Sorry this was in the wrong forum. My tired eyes misread DVD encoding for DVD authoring. Some moderator please move it for me. Thanks.
