I'm looking for a good deblocking filter for avisynth (don't care what version), not noise reduction, not smoothing, just deblocking.
I've heard of one somewhere that works similar to the deblocking in ffdshow, and I'm very satisfied with it's deblocking, so if there is such a filter let me know.

well, wotef, I did a search and did find one filter but it is just a modification of mpeg2dec (cpu options), and that's not what I need. I need one that works in avi input and I didn't found such one in the search.

I just did a search on "deblocking" in the Avisynth forum and in less than 2 minutes I discovered that MarcFD's mpeg2dec3 contains a BlindPP() function that can be used on AVIs. Methinks your searching skills need brushing up. :)

ok, donald, I searched for "deblocking fiter" and I guess you know better than me that one word can make a big differnce in the results (not in this case though. we're talking about the same thing, I just didn't notice the blindpp function). but anyway, thanks about the post, I'll try that.
