how do i rip the audio off of a concert dvd, to record audio only? [Archive]

hi. i have a couple of concerts on dvd, and i wanted to rip/copy just the audio from these show's onto an audio cd. i am very new to this whole process, and im having trouble figuring out what to do. how do i and what do i need to do this? any help in this, will be greatly appreciated!

Most of the rippers have a DEMUX INTO SEPARATE STREAMS options for both the audio and video. However, if I was new at this, I would rip the DVD to my HD, then use IFOEdit to remove any SEAMLESS BRANCHING stuff, then DEMUX the video using either DVD2AVI, or TMPG, or some other demuxing software. This should give you an .AC3 file of your audio only. Then I would run this through HeadAC3He to convert the 48ksps .AC3 file to a 44.1ksps .WAV file, which can then be burned onto a CD.

I say to go through all of these steps, because you have to learn and understand what you are doing in order to become proficient at this. You may make mistakes, or run into brick walls along the way, but that's what we are here for - to help you get back up and going again.
