Green,messy pic when convt to VCD

I'm try to concert Red Dragon to VCD. The movie plays fine on my pc, after I downloaded ffdshow, however, when I try and convert using TMPG, the result is a green messy picture, as though I was watching it my pc without ffdshow.

Anyideas?

I get that when I try to create a VCD (MPEG1) with DVD2SVCD, using TMPG. I checked out my DVD player and discovered it will play SVCD (MPEG2) so I now make SVCD instead of VCD. Try to do that. I am activeley seeking a solution to the problem. I think the writers of TMPG have deliberately added a glitch to get you to buy TMPG Plus.
