I have a strange problem that happens whenever I watch a video using overlay instead of VMR7 or VMR9. There are some random red matrix dots, a sort of red "matrix film" effect, that dance over the screen. I believed it was a DirectX8 problem so I waited and finally upgraded to DX9. No fix.
My video card is an Abit GF3VIVO and yes I have tried different driver, bios, clock speed. The card works fine playing games and so on. It gives me problem only with overlay. :confused:
Here you are an image shot, sorry for the bad quality but there was no way to capture it. I had to use my digital camera.
Please help me. :scared:

Er, I've validated the picture, now, where is it? Maybe the user deleted after he put the link in the posting?
*EDIT: Grr, just saw the other thread, by the same user... Ok, the threads are now merged. In the future, please do not do such things...*
BTW, thanks for your help, jggimi.
@tormento
More infos, please... What codec? What do you use for playback (e.g. ffdshow)? Is this always or only with one movie/type of files?

Sorry for the double posting. I'm new to this kind of forum interface.
The video are divx or xvid types. The decoder is indifferent, i.e. I have tried divx 5.x, xvid and ffdshow (even changed the fourcc code). They work correctly if I don't select overlay use in the player settings (media player classic or bsplayer). I could use VRM7 or VRM9 but they are considerably slower.
