Hey im just wondering
im running FAT32 file system which does not allow a file over 4gig in size.

As a DVD is just over 4 gigs, will the PDI file be the exact size as the dvd was meant too, eg over 4 gig, or does the PDI format compress it somewhat?

Thanks. Just dont want to try it only to find it cant actuallu finish or fully save the file.

Think it does it in 1GB chunks so you should be okay with Fat32.

There is a .pdi file, then a .pdi0x for each 1gb over, so it is completely compatable with Fat32. The .pdi then "owns" the .pdi0x files so when you select the .pdi for burning it reads all the "sub" files. Think .rar, .r01, .r02 etc.

ah they throught ahead and thought of us little FAt32ers
:)

and im guessing after ive done this
I just select the .pdi as the source, and the dvdburner as the destination this time, to burn it?
