hi to all.

i encode the Sarah B, ....night in eden.

exelent image and sound quality, but with audio a little out of sincro.

i read the log file...nothing is wrong.

when i do goofy2 i had the same problem, and another one
(don't remember how) with 2 seconds of error in sincro.
was really bore correct it.

i do this to correct the "problem" :

i open the dvd2avi176(came under dvd2svcd)
and get the ac3 again, than open this in
HeadAC2he and see in source file delay: -66 ms

if i put the ac3 extracted from dvd2svcd and
open the HeadAC3he i see in source file delay: 0(zero) ms

i convert the two ac3 to mp2 and mux again in BBmpeg.

the first with delay -66 was perfect sincro with video.it's ok!
the second with delay 0(Zero) have the sincro problem.

what i'm doing wrong using the dvd2svcd prog.
sometimes i have this sincro problems, than i do it all
to see if i correct this ,and with this way works very fine.
any help please?

thanks in advance!

really..cuz I just magically read your logfile and it said you didn't rip with internal routines. Thus synch issues.

I have NEVER used the internal rip routine (maybe once a year or so back when initially checking out D2V) and I have NEVER had a a/v sync problem. I have ALWAYS used SmartRipper with absolute 100% success. I read the above statement often but I have never seen anyone actually confirm it.

Ok well I was trying to guess cuz their wasn't anything else to really base my guess on.

The reason internal routines usually won't have synch issues is due to chapters with 0 secs (disney flicks) and one other reason but I'm too tired to think of it.

Long time ago I was doing a cartoon and they had a 15 second intro screen with NO sound. Well that threw the sound off 15 seconds. Unfortunately that screen wasn't it's own chapter but tied into chapter 1. So I ended up not ripping chapter one and had no synch issues. I'd imagine nowadays I could've just used frame selection and it'd most likely be in synch.
