OK, I apologize in advance if this subject has already been brought up but some help would be gratefully recieved!
I use DVD2SVCD with TMPGEnc. I've previously been able to convert DVD to SVCD with no problems until recently. All other processes up to TMPG's encoding seem to work fine, then, once TMPG kicks in, after any given amount of time, be it short or long TMPG will just freeze. Since this problem has occured I've changed virtually everything (I've tried every operating system from Win98SE to Win XP, by the way, anyone know why auth_call causes a problem in XP which means that DVD2SVCD can't even be run on an XP system?), the memory, the processor, the motherboard, so in effect, a whole new computer, and yet the exact same freezing is occuring in TMPG. It's driving me absolutely mad as I wanted to back up my entire DVD collection to SVCD and now that I won't to put DVD2SVCD to useful use, I can't.
Please, if anyone out there knows why TMPG is acting like this, give me a shout at my email, shane@winniecooperrock.freeserve.co.uk or on here...
Thanks

You'll want to post this question in the DVD2SVCD basic section. A lot bigger chance that it will be answered;)
