After having searched the forum several times and checking guides and FAQ's I feel there is no other option than to post my question, even though it feels like an answer to be found in one of those mediums.
I frameserved from VirtualDub to CCE (I followed the guide at doom9) and it turned out alright, the only problem was that it had purple borders on the top and bottom and white borders on the sides (it could have been the other way around).
