Will these motherboards be able to use the Upcoming AMD Athlon™ 64 processor ?

I don't thhink the current ones will, and maybe I am just being dumb but there aren't available any boards capable atm, at least for home consumer. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

No they will not. Not only do they need a new chipset, but also it uses a different CPU socket.
Nvidia's chipset will be called "CRUSH".

Don't forget you might also need a new OS. Microsoft is readying XP 64 as we speak.

the current Socket 462 Motherboards dont support Athlon XP 64/Opteron processors, but the Crush 6xx chipsets (the nforce2 ones) can easily work with either (not both).
