I have read all the guides and I have tried both Scenerist and ReelDVD, but I can't get very far at all. At this point I have no idea what I am doing wrong and what needs to be done.

With Scenerist, apologies to Doom9, but I can't make heads or tails of the guide. I don't understand it at all.

I do seems to understand the ReelDVD guide, but when I go to drag my buttons to create a link I get all kinds of errors. Here is one example:
Error The left coordinate, currently set to -828, should be between 0 and 719.
Error The right coordinate, currently set to -710, should be between 0 and 719.
Error The top coordinate, currently set to -303, should be between 2 and 479.
Error The bottom coordinate, currently set to -257, should be between 2 and 479.

The image is a screencap I took into Photoshop, cut to 720 x 480, created two layers with each having text that would become the buttons. At this point I bring it into ReelDVD, it accepts the image and outlines exactly where I want. I click to highlight a button then drag it over a movie item and then the error. The buttons are clearly within the innermost outline square.

Where do I begin to figure out what is going on?
All I want is a still image with 2 buttons. Each button is to start
a different video. I don't have any submenu's or anything very difficult. I have been using Scenerist for a couple of months to make backups of multi pgc movies without a problem.

Is there an easier Scenerist guide around for menu's?

Thanks,
Mark

Are you hell bent on using Scenarist? If not I would look at DVD Architect....I previously posted about this and it is very user friendly. Another good option is ReelDVD which is very powerful (like Scenarist) and a bit easier to learn. There are a few websites dedicated to ReelDVD that should be able to help you get on your way.

Huh. I have been trying ReelDVD all along.
All the errors listed are from ReelDVD.

I only mention Scenerist becuase I know how to use it somewhat, but not the menu part and that I tried to do it in that as well.

I got it finally. I figured out my biggest mistakes.
It turns out I was a bit confused on what to drag to connect the buttons with the movies.
A quick note to Trilight. If you rewrite the photoshop guide might want to point out a little clearer that you click on the left arrow in the little rectangle in the main screen and not the button on the bottom right screen.
I saw the image of the bottom right screen next to the words that you just have to connect the buttons to the movie and that threw me off. I thought that the bottom right screen was what I was suppose to drag to the movie.

Thanks though. Although I was a bit confused the guide really did help me do something I had no idea how to a day ago.
