I am trying to put a Divx movie is a DVD-R. i tried encoding with TeMPG but the estimated time was something around 23 hours??? i usually re-encode my DVDs in 5 to six hours with the same machine!!!
I've also tried CCE but it gave me all kind of errors and didn't work!!
So is there a progrma that can do it faster than TeMPG or is there and special settings i have to change to improve the speed?!?!

Wrong forum. Thread moved.
I just saw that you had posted the same question a few days ago - and were warned at the time that you had crossposted. It is still not considered good manners to repost the same question, but you should rather try to bump the thread in a NICE manner, maybe also ask a moderator to move the question to a more appropriate forum.
I will give you a probable hint to why the time increases: DVD2DVD copies usually only involves decoding of the original stream and re-encoding it. DivX2DVD will most likely involve a resize in between those steps and since it is a quite large resize (final size 720xyyy)this will slow the process down a considerable bit.

My appologies, but the first post was in the Divx 3&4 and since i didn't get any reply i reposted it in the Divx5 forum.
Thanx for the hint ... i will leave it over the weekend and see

TMPGEnc is rather slow, but its easy to fix up the aspect ratios, etc.
CCE and frameserving it is a lot faster, but is harder to setup the right aspect ratios and such, and sample scripts have been posted before for AVISynth and Divx.
your best bet is to use TMPGEnc if you are unfamiliar with AVISynth, and choose CQ_VBR rather than 2 pass VBR.
