I see posts talking of frameserving would increase speed of CCE mpeg2 encoding. I have video footage of AVI DV codec or Quicktime DV codec. I want to encode to DVD mpeg2. Would it help increasing encoding speed if I use frameserving...AviSynth....?

Probably not. But you get rid of CCE 2GB limits, and you can use filters. If your source resolution is not what you desire for the target, then you need to resize, which you can easily do in AviSynth, but not in CCE itself.
