CCE Multipass doesn't complete

I've search the forum for this question and have found only one answer that didnt help me to much. After completing the 1st pass of a multipass task, CCE would just stop, and the .mpv file would have a size of 0. During the 1st pass I can see that the .mpv file is being written to, but the next pass just erases it, like I believe it's supposed to do??, but never continues. Anyone had this problem and fixed it?? Thxs.

This isn't much of a help but I never have any problem with CCE and multipass. I am sure that there r other members that don't have such problems at all, whereas there r a lot of others having the same ones.

I would suggest to perform the following to the letter and I am confident that your problems would go away.

1. Upgrqade to a stable OS. XP is a nice choice, win2000 is a better one.
2. format your hd, even the mbr.
3. Clean install the OS and as few as possible applications. The ones that u actually need.
4. Have norton ghost make an image of your system.

Now u have a clean stable starting point to work with. A week or two later replace the system with the ghosted one. Keep doing it in a regular basis.

Give it a try and report back. I personally never had any trouble with CCE or any program following the above guidelines.

Do a forum search on CCE crash or CCE freeze. This is a fairly common problem and there is a ton of info on it around.
Look in the DVD2SVCD forums as well. We have been hitting against this problem for sometime. It doesn't matter that you are doing DVD->DVD or DVD->SVCD the problem is the same.

It could be the CRC bug. Search for "CRC" Tsunami has a patch for it floating around.

Also, CCE has an option to use different names on odd/even passes so the previous pass doesn't get killed.
