I dont know if this some sort of weird coindence or whatever, but i've tried 3 movies with this app, and none of have worked properly.

The results and movies ive used are as follows:

Scary Movie 2 (Crashes about 60% though the encoding process, with the dreaded Windows has encountered an error, and must shut down this app)

Lakers 2000 dvd - same as above

and finally, Back to the Future.

This didn't crash, but after converting the PDI to ISO, i extract it to my HD to test it with PowerDVD before burning.

The movie just dies after starting it, and getting the THIS MOVIE IS RATED PG or whatever.
Howegver, when i goto the extras, and try to run the deleted scenes, nothing happens, and when i try to navigate menus, it starts the actual movie.

Did i screw something up here? I did try and shrink (more than the default settings) the menu, extras, etc.

I got crashes to after ripping Bond-World is not enough with dvd decrypter in file mode. Instantcopy would crash at about 5%, error in "vobtrans.ax"

I re-ripped it in iso mode & mounted it with Alcohol. It then processed it okay.

Title: sound of music 175 min.
Run instant copy 7 demo with reg hack,
after about 134 minutes, generate 4.06GB pdi files.

Try to convert/extract pdi files with UltraISO 5.5, results
in VIDEO_TS will not play on WinDVD. PowerDVD will
manage to play but hang at the middle.

The menu shows up on Apex 1200 player, but freeze at
starting the movie.

Update: it turned out to be UltraISO 5.5's fault. It corrupt
the pdi images during the conversion.
Using pdi2iso v1.3, everything works. Nero accept VIDEO_TS
and burn OK with some PC extra stuff.

It plays well with WinDVD and Apex player.

It must be your computer setup or whatever. I just did Back to the Future. Absolutely zero problems. Tested it by converting it to to .iso then mounting it in daemon tools and PowerDVD.

MRBASS: is yours the PAL or NTSC version? Mine is NTSC, and I just got the EXACT same problem with Back to the Future 2. What i'd like to know is just use DVD Maestro to use the re-encoded shit, and make my own version. HEres another stupid newbie question, what app can i use to take the MOVIE or other title set, and convert it to one big MPEG for de-multiplexing and using with authoring software such as Maestro?

DVD Decryptor will demux the streams into streams you can import into Maestro.

DVD Decrypter will load the DVD image off the HD? I have yet to be able to figure out how to get this to happen.

I tried Instantcopy for the first time yesterday with "Trials of life disk1"
The output was a dvd little bit worse than vcd....
So much pixelation, that it's disturbing.
I tried it because it's multi episode so i couldn't transcode it with dvd2one (and of cource to test it)
Maybe something was wrong with this title so now i'll try some other movie.

Movies that InstantCopy won't back up at all, even if I exclude extras, It crashes. Dvd2one can handle them both

Rocky Horror Show
Reservior Dogs.

Vote for dvd2one. Even if I have to loose menus & extras. Who cares?
To get a program at 100k as opposed to 15 Mb that does it better & quicker.

And maybe it is a a fluke, but after having IC on my system I can no longer write a CD with anything. BSoD every time & I can not remember it on my XP ever

Load DaemonTools, mount the image as a drive, and use DVDDecrypter on that.

This is too weird, or maybe this was a known problem all along. Going back to my issues witH back to the future I and II, thankfully I saved the converted isos. Mounted these with Alchol, and they played fine on PowerDVD. Previously, I extracted the isos with WinRAR to a VIDEO_TS when i had those play back problems.

Regarding my problems converting/reencoding that Lakers 2000 DVD. I had it crash on my main PC doing it about 65% through (P4 2.5ghz). I tried it on the other PC in the house (AMD XP1800), and it went throuhg fine. Again, this was extrated from the rar to a video_TS dir. So i dunno, what to make of this. :P Gotta try Scary Movie 2 on that AMD when i get home from work today.

Yes i've experienced a program crash first when i was using explorer and instatcopy together, so i restarted the pc and only opened the program, everything seemed fine there were 3 gb of 8 processed, it was PULP HITS DVD, i went out and when i came back waiting to receive my pdi the program was frozen, i don't know why?
Then i processed TORRENTE DVD and everything was fine but i converted with pdi2iso and then extracted vts folder with isobuster, tried with ifoedit and too many bugs in the DVD so ifoedit crashed, then opened with powerdvd and the same, extras doesn't work and a complete mess, i'm thinking about the old methods are still good and this instantcopy fever has to be stoped until the program is stable, versatil and fully functional!
