If I got it right, InstantCopy is also able to do 1:1 copies of DVDs (to me that would mean splitting to 2 DVDRs). Anyone already tried that functionality?

I hope there are no 'this is a backup' screens in the copies :D

InstantCopy will only do 1:1 copies via downsampling or removing of content on the DVD afaik.

There are no added screens because it is assumed you will be using this on material that you are legally entitled to.

So transcoding is what they call an 1:1 copy, I see...thanx for clearing that up.

I think they mean 1:1 in the sense of content and not bits :D It does seem to handle multi-pgc and multi-angle VERY well.

Might be...I personally prefer real 1:1 copies on two dvds still...

well.. that's what DVDXCopy is for ;) Of course you could also use IfoEdit which is more complicated or wait for future versions of either InstantCopy or DVD2One. I think both apps will eventually integrate such functionality.

Yeah, I tried DVDXCopy...didn't like the 'backup info' screen...so I got into IfoEdit and later into DVDSplit with some IfoEdit corrections...works fine for me now... :)
