Anyone notice that the scene release is older than the demo
Scene Release - ver 7.0.0.80 01/15
Demo Release - ver 7.0.0.91 02/06
Anyone know if there is a patch for the scene release as it is not clearly the retail version.
if u right click in the title bar and select about u can find this same info out for yourself.

Read the rules !
This "scene release" is an old beta. The reg-hack doesn't work there and some other things too. Find out yourself
The real final retail version shows as this:
InstantCopy: 7.0.0.091 (05.02.2003 15:15:54)

several people are reporting (me included) that it will get just so far and fails with a 'device timeout'.. consistently. I've blown 6 blanks so far.
I can burn with Prassi all day long with no problems.
I even hit the advanced settings and gave it the max memory buffer.
Something is definately amiss...

They are referring to the ability to deselect titlesets via a registry change.

Is everybody through talking about the "scene release"? Which, of course, doesn't officially exist, nor is condoned by our forum rules.
As far as I'm concerned, if you have problems with a warez version, get the legal one before complaining. 9 times out of 10 the problem is with the way the program was hacked.

This program wasn't hacked, its a beta (from a month or two ago) that has been leaked and packaged, and that is where the problem stems.
Copy Protection on various utilities is usually pretty weak (there are exceptions in the high-end world).
I agree people should buy this though, if no one buys is, they won't continue development, and it will just become another one of those programs that could have been good and then disappears (I-author, Maestro, etc.)

Don't "advertise" on warez here, it is against this forum policy.

not good.. This is not true !!!
This is the first time I see someone has burning problems with InstantCopy. Personally I have a Pioneer A03, and I can burn DVD-RW, DVD-R, CD-R, and CD-RW, using InstantCopy. And since I installed InstantCopy demo version, I still can use my others burning programs (PrimoDVD, DVD Complete, and Nero)..

@ Rombaldi
several people are reporting (me included) that it will get just so far and fails with a 'device timeout'.. consistently. I've blown 6 blanks so far.
It happened to me too,ONLY under these circumstances:
Dumbo (Disney), made iso image with DVD Decrypter. Disney DVDs make strange ISOs. 4 files in all!!. Finished transcoding (or whatever...) OK, then got stuck at burning at 87% with the above message and something about buffer.
The Emperor's new Groove (DVD Decrypter iso). The transcoding failed halfway.
In both cases, I ripped again with DVDDecrypter in File mode (on the second case, just copied the files from the mounted ISO...) and the whole process finished OK.

DVR-104, 8 backups, no problem.
I'm using Windows XP (no service packs) on a P4 2.0 Ghz running at 2.2 Ghz. All the usual utilities running in the background including Norton AV, Quicktime, and Virtual DAEMON.
The only problem I've encountered after installing the demo version is that I can no longer preview ISO images using Windows Media Player which crashes at every attempt. PowerDVD works normally fortunately.

I have noticed that you cannot burn a dvd with record now max and whilst its burning the dvd use instant copy as it will terminate the burn and come up with an error , however if you do it the other way it is ok , very strange

Being as burning with instantcopy is being discussed it may be worth noting a little querk I found today.
if you press the ESC key when the Disk is being burned the program shuts down before the burn is complete.:scared:

Those who are having no problem burning with Pioneers, what is your firmware version. I suspect that version 1.40 is the culprit which crashes InstantCopy as this is what I have and haven't been able to burn one dvd-r with InstantCopy, only by extracting the iso first using pdi2iso and then burning with DVD Decrypter have I successfully burned a backup.

I've done 2 multi pgc dvd9's with the trial version of instantcopy with NO problems. After using dvd decrypter to rip the complete dvd to the hard-drive I use instantcopy with it's default settings to transcode then burn directly to DVD-r. I'm using a pioneer 104 with firmware 1.40 (official version). I can't understand people who are reporting problems after hacking the registry so they can use instantcopy to remove all extras?? Isn't that what dvd2one is for??
At the moment I'm happy using dvd2one for the movie with no-extras and have found instantcopy to be the most simplistic method yet to keep all menu's and extras - admitidley the quality does suffer though... I'm waiting to get the full retail version so I can experiment with different settings with extras and menus. Until then I can't complain for a free trial version - and there was no restriction with 5mins for the audio.....

I've just done The Mummy and burnt with a pioneer 104 with 1.40 official firmware. Film plays fine, menus all work, however when you watch the extras sometimes it doesnt go back to the menu when the clip is finished.

If you look, I made a post of the detailed tests I did with an A03 and Instant Copy PDI burning. Ver 1.68 on an A03.
Read it and examine the failure matrix. I don't see how eles I can point to anything but it being a failure of the burning engine in IC7.
