Has anyone been able to do this and get it to work in a setop box....
I have an 800 music video collection (mainly oldies) and would like to see if I can trick my SAMPO620 into thinking its a VCD but really its of 4.7GB volume.....

Nero5.5.8 doesnt let you do it off the cuff so what I was going to do was disect the folders on a VCD and see if I can work it that way -

the other trick I guess is getting the correct format structure for VCD on the disk itself...2048 or whatever it is....whilst burning a data DVD from the finished folders.

Anyone else?

i want to do this also with my jackass collection and i think i try it this way:
-demux the mpeg to seperate audio/video
-resample the audio to 48kHz
-import the files into a dvd authoring software and create a new title for every file. (the vcd video format should be dvd conform, well i hope so)

i dont think you can fool your dvd player that it sees a dvd as a big vcd. and even if it works with your player it wont with most others.

but I dont think MPEG1's will be MPEG2 compliant.

I was hoping to mssage the Segment, VCD etc...files to 4GB and then see if it will fire up in my Setop box as a 4GB VCD...

hehehe....very kewl....

mpeg-1 is also part of the dvd standard.
i tried it yesterday with my collection and only a few one couldnt be imported with maestro (gop errors).

so DVMaestro is OOTQ.

DVWise is my weapon of choice - and no go there.
