I have encoded at most 30 movies with CCE and everytime I see some change in what bitware says I panic. I wish one of the people who know cce and encoding backwards and forward would build a simple flow chart so people like me (not too smart) could follow it. Example 1. use bitware to check source. 2 if source says Field check box xxxx if source says progressive check box yyy. If linear and field check zzzz. I guess you can get the picture it is CCE for dummies. I know it seems it should be simple but if you do a search on anything you seem to get many conflicting answers. A flow chart similar to a troubleshooting chart would solve a lot of problems I think at least for me. :D
