HI,

I'm pretty novice at this whole thing and am not having a whinge.. overall i think dvd2svcd is the best proggy i have ever used.. anyways the problem i am experiencing is in relation to a version upgrade. I have been using dvd2svcd 1.0.6 for quite sometime and only upgraded when i needed to reinstall my OS (unfortunate hard drive death.. though thats another story). I am now using dvd2svcd 1.1.1 build 2. Upon my first backup of a dvd i bought the other day i noticed that all of a sudden once perfect svcd's (with chapters, title, and change cd logo's) now are produced with the sound out of sync.

My dvd player is a Rowa RDV550 (teac dv2150 clone).

The settings i use are according to an old post by kraven morehead,
"ok under bitrate change your settings to so.
all your cd sizes change to 796mb
from left to right change the max bitrate to 2400, your min bitrate to 1900, uncheck your min average(i dont use it) and lastly your max avg. to 2250. leave all the other things checked as they are default.
now to the cce tab. choose a 1 pass vbr. change your q factor to 5
change your image quality priority to 5 as well.
leave everything else checked as it was by default.
also Ddogg reccomends to change your temperal smotthing settings to 2,1 this should help in faster motion on some movies. (i wonder if it helps in animation?)
lastly under your audio change it to 192 and do not convert it to 41
this is a waste of time, imo and the sound is just fine. "

Something i have already noticed is that the sync works fine on some other dvd players such as my friends samsung m405. My guess is that the svcd's are now outputting a higher data throughput that the processor in my trusty old Rowa RDV550 is not coping with.

My question is (finally!.. sorry for taking so long) does anyone know what changes have been made in the new dvd2svcd (most likely one of the freeware programs it utilises that have been upgraded with it) which would have caused this error, and what settings in the new one i could adjust to compensate for this. I just dont really like downgrading to old versions, and hope i dont have to is all.

Sorry, but you are talking many releases changes. If you were talking one or even two release differences it would be easier, but you are talking about 10 release changes.
Best bet is read the readme.txt file in the DVD2SVCD directory for any changes.
