Each time there is a new way to backup DVDs I like to try them on this movie and then keep a copy around on DVD-RW for comparison purposes. I just watched a couple chapters on each of the discs and these are my opinions:
Original - Obviously great
Instant Copy - Excellent, edges may be a little more blurry during fast motion
CCE Remux into DVD Maestro - Excellent also, probably indistingusible from the Instant Copy
DVD2One - Pretty good but it doesn't seem to have the same quality as the other two, images look more grainy and there appears to be more of an issue with edges or blurring
I think I have a decent setup - Panasonic RP62 and a Toshiba 50HDX82. I'm usually very picky about the encoding quality of DVDs (even store bought studio ones have a lot of flaws sometimes). Instant Copy is definitely impressive hopefully things keep progressing at the rate they are going.
