How can make a svcd with chapters ?

I have recently begun using dvd2svcd 1.1.1 with CCE 2.66 and I am loving this program and how easy it is to use. When I rip a dvd with dvd2svcd's default settings I get 1 large movie file, but I have read it is possible to make an svcd with dvd2svcd that has chapters just like the original dvd. My question is this, "How can I rip a dvd into chapters?":(

Ok. I'm sure You have figured it by now, but here goes:
1. Go to CD Image tab.
2. If you use I-Author (not recommended) or VCDXBuild (Highly recommended) you have the option to have DVD chapters on your SVCD.
That's it!!

Unless you mean rip a certain chapter:
1.Conversion tab, click on movie length
2.A window "select chapters" opens.
3 Pick your favourite one (s).

I'm sorry if I sounded a little snotty, but it's so elementary to me, that it may INDEED NOT BE in the FAQ. But I'm almostt sure it's in the guide.

you didn't sound snotty at all, i'm just having difficulties finding the right threads to read in this forum. Your help was much appreciated. i am even having dificulties finding the rules (it won't even come up in the search bar). i was reffered to rule 1 & 1a by a moderator, but i'll be damned if i can find em...hehehe (what a moron i must be). anyhow i'm probably breaking further rules by continuing to ask questions in this thread, but here it goes. i have VCDXBuild selected and there are 2 options relating to chapters. 1 is dvd chapters, and the other is fixed chapters. which do i want? i was using the cce2.5 until yesterday (i upgraded to cce2.66 today), and i have yet to rip with the cce 2.66 so this may all be a complete waste of your time, but please be gentle as i suspect that i may have been dropped on my head as a child. :confused:

About chapters: From Doom9's DVD2SVCD Basics Guide (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvd2svcd-basic.htm) (which I guess you haven't seen yet):
About chapters: Normally you want the same chapters as on the DVD. If you prefer chapters at fixed intervals check Fixed chapters instead and set the chapter interval.

Yes you really need to search the forum as CCE 2.66 is NOT supported and has been stated many times. Only 2.50 and 2.62 are officially supported.

Make sure you read the all the stickies in this forum as they are chock full of info meant for the newer user.

What type of chapters is personal taste. I prefer fixed chapters at 90 seconds myself on a SVCD, but on DVD I prefer the original chapters.
