First of all, sorry for my two postings in german, wrote a thread in m2a-forum (german allowed) just before & had forgotten to switch language back.

So here my two questions in one post:

1. OggMux gives me following error when using automatisation: "OggMux: Es wird versucht, eine nicht unterstütze Operation auszuführen ". Any Idea??

1b. (added) OgMuxer can only write advanced movie info when using new-setup-file, why is old one not supported as well? I get only movie name by using old setup-file.

2. XCD playback doesn't work for me anymore after re-instal of WinXP.
I have tried with OGM,MP3,AVI & ogg; WMP always reports not possible to play. Image is loaded in latest Alcohol (the program, not the food:p )

Thanks for help
& sorry again for breaking a rule, was really n accident.

1) Try using VirtualDubMod to mux video and audio: http://virtualdubmod.sourceforge.net/

2) Remember you need the riff/cdxa DirectShow filters to play XCDs.

Thanks for reply, but

1. I want a muxer working on command-line, no GUI!!

2. Man, I know that I have to install XCD-playback-filters, I'm really not a complete newbie to XCD, I'm author of the XCD-menu-specs!! Just wanted to report that it is not working for me although I have installed all necessary filters (XCD+OGG+DivX+FFDshow).

Perhaps a problem of Alcohol? (Although I created single-track-isos!)

It has been reported that sometimes WMP8/9 refuses to play XCDs using the DShow filter. It may be related to the lack of a DMO API in the filter, who knows. Unfortunately I'm afraid I'm not skilled enough in DS to track this down.

However, in case you didn't try it, it has been reported that the new NSIS installer for the XCD filter worked in some cases where the old batch installer didn't, so in case you didn't try it, you can get it from my homepage.

You can try also to play the file with WMP 6.4 (mplayer2.exe) or any other DS-based player, perhaps you have better luck than with WMP.

Please report any finding on this subject, as I'm very interested, too.

OK, i'll reformat my machine again, and repeat my tests, adding a second virtual-CD-drive-software, daemon-tools.

I'll report back ASAP.

Dunno why, now it's working!
Guess I had to many MP4-related filters on my previous OS; had DivX,xvid,ffdshow,ffdfw,3ivx installed.

Now only DivX.dll (encoder only) +ffdshow.ax + ogg + XCD, works perfect!!

Thanks
