View Full Version : Problem with no sound......

To convert avi to mpeg, I've been using DVD2SVCD v1.09 and Cinema Craft Encoder 2.50. For some time now when the film is finished being converted, only about one third of the film has sound and the remaining two thirds....no sound. The conversion is good, picture is good but I cannot figure out why the sound suddenly stops. It has'nt always been like this....many of my first conversions were fine and the only change I can think of was upgrading my PC to XP from W2K.....
The settings I use are more less the settings set out in the following guide....
http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/111846.php
As I have tried different settings I usaly have to keep going back to Virtual Dub and TMPGEnc. I would like to be able to stick with DVD2SVCD v1.09 and Cinema Craft Encoder 2.50 as this combination definatley gives the best result.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated....
Thanks
JKF:)

well obviously if they fail giving you sound they can't really be the best results! :D The newer version may come with an updated version of besweet (don't quote me on this though)
try running besweet manually so you can get the log file. you can download the besweet gui here at doom9 and simply copy and paste the command in your logfile, and make sure you save besweet's output.
