recover deleted files

i just want to know if anyone knows and can tell me how to recover a file that was deleted... i know it can be done just don't know how never bothered finding out before never needed to... so if someone can help me out would be greatfull

i'm using ntfs file system to if that helps

Some weeks ago I accidently deleted my fathers bookkepping he had kept for years. Luckily I was able to restore it before he noticed it... :)

I used PC Inspector File Recovery (http://download.com.com/3000-2248-10118664.html?tag=lst-0-1)

NOTE: If the file is on a computer your working on at the moment, stop. The more you do the less chance you'll be able to restore the file. Don't even download the program to that computer, run it from another.

thanks dude i'll give it ago now and the file is on d drive partition so i should be right i'll just download and use the program in c drive so should be sweet i hope :)

I use R-Studio Undelete. It cost $50 but was well worth it. You will be amazed at how much crap you can recover if you have a large hard drive and don't typically fill it to capacity. I was able to recover things that I deleted over 2 yrs ago.
