The svcd file I am creating under tempgenc is over 2 gigs. How can I get tempgenc to create the move into 3 separate files so that they will each fit on a cd-r?

Hi mate,
Use project wizard, when you get to source range move slider to end. Set end & see how many frames you have. 3000 for example. Divide into 3 = 1000 frames. Set start frame to 0 end frame 1000, on the next disc it will be 1000 to 2000 etc.
Once you have done this follow the wizard untill you get to the bitrate screen & adjust so the output file ends at either 2520 kpbs or 795mb. 2520 is the max svcd bitrate & 795 is the u can burn to a 80 min cd-r using vcd easy. If you use the wizard you can do a batch encode, when it gets to the end select create another project so you can encode your other 2 discs.
Hope this helps.

Or you can just encode elementary audio and video streams and then mux it with BBMpeg. In the BBMpeg options, set the max file size to 797MB and it will split the file for you.
