AVI2SVCD Problem !!!

I can convert an Avi to SVCD but I have a problem, but when I put the svcd in my pioneer DV-444 it shows the movie//serie but the movie is to big so it won't fit onto my television screen. How should I solve this problem. I'm using DVD2SVCD. With DVD to SVCD converting I have no problem @ all.
