ok, I have an XVid-avi file including 1-2 AC3 files, and will make an OGM, including some subs and chapters.
In the past that works all right, but since I reinstalled my sys, I cant play the resulting file :(
With BSPlayer, I get the "want sent msg to M$ ?" spam error (but the movie is playing correctly in the background !, but cant do anything like chang sub or language)
Then I tested M$ Media Player, but there I have only an error :(
my older OGMs are playing correctly !

Do u have the latest SubTitDS1400 installed? i run into lots of problems with it. I may suggest you switch to DirectVobSub. (If so, dont forget to desintall SubTitDS first)...
Im playing all my OGM files in WMP6.4 since i heard OGM doesn't play well in BSplayer latest version.
Im not used to AC3 muxed in avi, so i cant help for that part.
Good Luck :)

First of all, i recommend you to mux the OGM with VirtualdubMod if you use ac3 files.
If you use bsplayer LATEST (494) it is not necesary to install any subtitles filters. In overlay mode 1 it use its own engine to render the subs and not filter is needed.
You can find bsplayer 494 in www.bsplayer.com, but it dont appear like the latest, you have to go to download-nightly builds... give it a try
and remember to install latest ffdshow and ac3filter ;)
good luck!

at first, thx :)
I tried VDubMod, and think its GREAT :)
now the file can be played without an error,
BUT (yes, there is a but) : the audio is COMPLETE out of sync ! (more than 10sec too late !!)
and : I found the option to add chapter infos, but not for adding subtitles ?
is there a way to add subs? (with dubmod or another prog)

ups, sorry :)
now the subs are included, and the audio is sync :D
and with the newest BSPlayer, there is no more crash with subs in the OGM.
but still dont know why Mediaplayer cant read the movie, normally it should just skip the subs, or am I wrong?
will test a 3rd player to be sure :)

WMP can read the OGM if you use 6.4 or classic version.
And if you want subtitles, you have to install the susbtitds filter.
Other player that many people uses is zoomplayer
