View Full Version : IfoEdit authoring AC3 file correction

Hi. This may be a newbie question, but I searched and couldn't find an answer, so here it goes. When demuxing, the audio either has a positive or negative delay, so when authoring a DVD in ifoedit .95, if I enter a negative character "-" when adjusting the audio stream, I get an error message in German which I can't understand (translation appreciated :-). Should I be using neagative and positive according to the demux time that the audio stream indicates? It seems like common sensethat I would, but then there's that German error message...
thanks!

edjanx,
If you did a searched for "IFOedit AC3 delay", you would've got some good reading threads concerning the negative delays in IFoedit remuxing. Here's two threads I found that talked about negative delays and success with AC3 Delay Corrector.

Mr Too Cool, thanks for the tip about searching, but FYI, I did a search on AC3 delay before posting, both here and on ifoedits fourm, read those threads and didn't seem to find a specific answer.
Anyway, if you attempt to use the negative character, it crashed IFOEDIT so that really answers the question once anf for all.

if you came to this conclusion from my translation you'Ve got something wrong: a whole number includes also negative numbers... i think they call them integers in english ... so -1 or -25 would also be whole numbers and integers...

Ahh, I see. I get the error message as soon as I enter a negative character. But like I said, it did crash ifoedit with negative entered. The mystery continues... :-)
