2DVDs on 1??? (dvd2one)

is there an easy way to make from 2dvds only 1 DVD whit DVD2one?

As an example Lord of the Rings Extended Edition?

Because this version is put on 2discs i want to make a backup copy on only 1 DVD+R.

How can I realize it?

Is there a way? :confused:

I thought about IfoEdit but if i started the tool i get more confuesed than ever :(

You must do the next steps:

-Rip your DVDs into separate folders
-Name the second DVD ifos sequentially after the last ifo of the first DVD, example if you first DVD has 7 ifos the first ifo from your second DVD has to be 8, is that clear? After that all you must do is to copy the second folder's ifos into the first to make only 1 DVD folder with 15 ifos,par example, ok?
-Then continue the normal process and enjoy!

Have not tryed it out, but it cannot work with DVD2one!
If you put the files of the second DVD to those of the first, only adjusting the file names (first *.ifo/*.bup/*.vob of second DVD as the next one of those from the first DVD) will cause the problem thet DVD2one detects 2 movies on this VIDEO_TS folder.
For example:
Title..........Chapters........Angles..........Time
1..............23..............1...............1:46:36
...
...
...
8..............17..............1...............1:24:12

You still have the problem to merge both movie parts, because DVD2one can just handle 1 movie set.

First i must clear they're vobs not ifos
Second i never tried this method until today and as GGOE says it doesn't work because dvd2one detects 2 movies! I suggested because i do it perfectly with dvd2svcd but dvd2one can't do it yet!
So let's find another working method i'm very interested too!

Well i would try this .
Rip with dvd decrypter the movie vobs " only the vobs , no ifo's etc " form the first disc to a folder Eg: Disk 1
The repeat the sequence for disk 2 into it's own folder.
Then rename disk 2 vobs to follow on from disk 1 : eg if disk 1 vobs are vts _1.0.vob to vts_1.5.vob rename the ones in disk 2 vts_1.6.vob etc.
Then place your newly renamed disk 2 vobs into your disk 1 folder.
Run ifoedit and select create new ifo's and point to your movie directory.
Then run dvd2one.

Hmmm...maybe, if you have alot of space on your harddrive...

Step 1: Split both movies into cells
Step 2: Number each cell's extension in sequential order. Ex. cell1.001, cell1.002, cell3.003, etc.
Step 3: Use VOBedit 0.60 to join cells
Step 4: Create IFOs
Step 5: Manually set chapters
Step 6: Input into DVD2One



This is just a brief theory. I haven't done this VOBedit way for quite a awhile. I'm a little rusty. If this works, I can actually picture how low the quality of your transcoded movie will look like.:(
