I am trying to understand something about the new speeds...
I understand that Pioneer has to list in the firmware data to allow ANY disk to burn better than 1x...
I understand that my A04/104 can burn 2x disks if approved by Pioneer and included in my firmware version...
I understand that new 4x disks approved by Pioneer and included in their A05/105 firmware will burn at 4x best speed...
BUT it appears that even though the media is good enough for 4x, approved by Pioneer and included in A05/105 firmware... It still only burns at 1x on the A04/104...
Can others confirm this... and more importantly WHY...
In short I can run 2x media at 2x... But 4x media runs at 1x...
Thanks... Jeff
