There was a time long ago when I thought that I saw that Mini-DVDs (DVD file structure on a CD-R), could be played in standalone players. I have come to realize that that is not the case, and double-checking with Doom's site seems to be the case (Funny, since this is where I first thought I saw that the disks would in fact play).
I don't have a DVD burner, nor do I plan to invest in one. I am currently undertaking a music video project that would fit purfectly on a Mini-DVD. As i understand it, the problem with playing a Mini-DVD on a standalone player is in media detection.
I guess what I am asking is if there is any way to burn a DVD on a CD that will be compatible with standalones. I know that I can do an SVCD ect., but I am more familar with the structure of DVDs as well as Maestro.
I am using DVDMaestro to both master and burn the CD.
I have done a couple of tests and neither play in my Panisonic DVD-RV32, but they play fine in my computer using any software player.
