View Full Version : MakeItEasy: "Subscript out of range"

Has anyone else encountered this? I tried backing up a VTS that has 117 (yes, one hundred and seventeen!) PGCs and MakeItEasy yacked partway through with a Subscript out of range error. Is there anyway around this? Anyone have any idea how exactly i can backup a VTS with 117 PGCs? Thanks!

Duh, it just dawned on me that the number of PGCs shouldn't matter since you only move the VOBs to the source directory and not the IFOs and without IFOs, PGCs don't exist, correct? So what could be causing MakeItEasy to blow chow? Could it be the number of chapters? Forgive my ignorance, but i'm not exactly sure how to tell the precise number of chapters in an entire VTS although i know it's around 100.

I'll look tonight. I don't remember putting a limit on the PGC count, but its possible.

Well, jdobbs, i did see in a different thread that you had said that you could run into trouble if your VOBIDs went any higher than like 75. That could potentially be my problem since the VOBIDs were up to like 127 i think.

Oh well, i decided i don't really need these extras anyway. For now, i just removed that VTS and removed the menu navigation to it.

I don't think that would be legal. There can be 127 cells, but (I'll have to check) I seem to recall a limit of 1-99 for VOBIDs...

mpucoder? You're the expert...

I can say that right now if you have a VOBID in the movie that is above 69 -- it won't work with MakeItEasy. I used that VOBID (and above) to flag the padding.

VobID may be from 1 to 32767, CellID from 1 to 255. You might want to scan the ifo for a unique combination since nothing is guaranteed, or you could see what happens if you use 0,0

Edit: screwed up the VobID limit initially

Hmmm... I noticed in "The Matrix" that when my VOBID got over 99 (accidentally at the time) it seemed that DVD2one failed. I guess I'll go back an recheck it.

There are limits within a title, but that is to the number of cells, not the value.

Maybe a problem within DVD2One.
