Can't load recordable DVD...

I bought some homemade dvds off a seller on eBay. They play fine in my settop, but won't load into my A03. The green light on my A03 just keeps blinking. Eventually it will blink orange, but when I try look at the material in Windows Explorer I get a message asking me to insert a disc into the drive.

I'm assuming something was done to the discs to copyprotect them. But what?

if your dvd rom doesnt recognise the dvd then explorer wont see it
my pioneer wont see a dvd+r even after its been burned
only tried it once

Well, I put the disc in my Toshibal DVD-Rom on the laptop and it worked fine. So, I transferred the files to a swappable external drive and tried burning them onto another disc.

I was able to burn the disc but it won't load into my settop player. I have'nt tried loading it into the A03.

Very strange...
