Hi,

1. Ivé copied from analog video8 to minidv (pal).
2. Captured it to disk using DVIO capturing firewire.
3. Used dvd2svcd and converted it to svcd mpgfile.
4. Used Ulead DVD Moviefactory to create menus and burn a svcd.

Now when watching it, it looks ok but fast movements in the video creats short horisontal black lines arroud the moving objekt and it looks a litle jerky.

Anyone got a god advice how to fix this problem?
Is this the smartest way to get a topquality svcd from my old video8tapes?

Regards
Kenny

Sounds like the video is interlaced.
Try re-encoding and using a de-interlacer.

I think since the source is PAL and dvd2svcd only executes pulldown on NTSC material - Try using some form of pulldown and that may fix jerkyness -
