Hi,

1. Ivé copied from analog video8 to minidv (pal).
2. Captured it to disk using DVIO capturing firewire.
3. Used dvd2svcd and converted it to svcd mpgfile.
4. Used Ulead DVD Moviefactory to create menus and burn a svcd.

Now when watching it, it looks ok but fast movements in the video creats short horisontal black lines arroud the moving objekt and it looks a litle jerky.

Anyone got a god advice how to fix this problem?
Is this the smartest way to get a topquality svcd from my old video8tapes?

Regards
Kenny

try deinterlacing the material (dvd2svcd can do it for you)

why deinterlace? I think he wants to watch it on an interlaced display..

*edit* I could be wrong...
if you are watching it on your computer, try using a software DVD player (powerdvd is my favorite) and you shouldn't have that issue.

Hi,

just tried to deinterlace and it seems to work.
I´ll be back.......... if more problems desides to surface.

I also tried Canopus Procoder and it gives even better quality.

Thanks.
