i've (once again) decided to mux a ac3 stream directly into my divx movie... now i've bounced into a problem i've never had before (done this quite often and always succesful):
when i want to play the ac3 in powerdvd it plays fine, but it is SILENT , i mean you can hear it, but i have to crank up my speakers to almost full volume, which results in a lot of background noise.
but the really strange part is, that it seems that the background is playing rather normal (music as well as everything else) it's just the people talking that are just not to hear.
now i've checked playing the vobs themselves and the ac3 is just fine.
i've done quite a lot of installing lately so i can't really figure out which install is causing the problem.
here's my most recent installs:
ffdshow
ac3filter
virtualdubmod
divx5.03
all of them within the last week...
oh and i'm pretty sure the problem is not caused by ac3filter, since i had it before i installed ac3filter.
the big problem is taht in my avi there's also a mp3 sountrack (2nd language) and when i switch i either hear nothing (mp3-ac3) or, when i switch the other way around you can hear the mp3 sound in the whole district...
any suggestions? i believe it must be some kind of decoder setting, although i've searched a lot (on my computer as well as the forums) and haven't found anyhting!
