Is it possible to convert DTS 5.1 to AC3 5.1? ... I have a source where the only AC3 track available is 2ch.
If it is possible then how do i do it

Hello and welcome to the forum-
According to the Audio FAQ (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7633):
18. i had extracted the DTS soundtrack, how do i transcode it ?
there isn't any free tool that can decode the DTS track, so transcoding is not an option.

H-
Evidently the FAQ is slightly out of date. It's now possible to do it as you can get a 6 channel .wav file from the DTS track. Sounds like a lot of work, though. This thread might interest you:

you can get a 6 channel .wav file from the DTS track.
Sorry, that's not possible yet. Apperently graphedit can only handle 2 ch. wavs.

Thanks for the correction Wilbert. I just assumed that if you could decode to WAV, that you'd get all the channels.
