i wanted to encode the movie trapped to svcd the first part was going great even with selectable subs in it but when i launched the second part something strange happened.
it seems that in the second pass cce hangs but it isn`t it keeps going on but on a very low speed (0,200) and hangs al the time but continues anyway.
in the first part my speed keeps going on (1,200) and finishes correctly.
someone have a idea what happens??
thnx

Yeah, I had the exact same problem on some movies. Others worked fine. How I fixed the problem was I changed to save mode frameserve or changed to a different MPEG2Dec.
I don't know what's the exact problem is, but I just work around it using my way.

sometimes anti-noise filters can do it. there are various reasons cce might crash/hang, read the faq for an exact description.
for me, changing from mpeg2dec.dll to mpeg2dec2.dll fixed it (in the frameserver tab). ymmv tho.

did you try to crash recover??
you can do this by editing the .d2s project file (open it with notepad) and change project position to 62. now do crash recovery and recover from the muxing stage.
if this still doesn't work, report back here.
also, what are you encoding? it's only 1744 frames which is only a little more than 1 minute of video.
p.s. i don't see why you mentioned that cce started to go slower, as it was at an average speed of 1.2, which is pretty good!

this logfile is from a sample of my friends home this is a whole other isue.
(he posted the problem on my nickname)
this logfile is after completing encoding with cce dvd2svcd will not load winsubmux to mux the subs.
my question is the speed problem with some movies.
i heard that it was caused by dark scenes dvd2svcd can`t handle them well read it on a other forum.
and my movie is mostly dark scenes,so they can be right.

dark scenes will not make them slow down over 600% (as going from 1.2 to 0.2).
