AC3 audio in divx avi to wave, how?

How do you convert AC3 audio in divx avi to wave? I tried using doom9's guides using virtualdub & nandub, but the wave file has a lot more noise in it than the avi.

i'd suggest you get yourself a copy of virtualdubmod. then laod the avi , go to the avi-drop down menu and use demux audio... afterwards you can use besweet to decode the audio to a .wav file.

if demuxing doesnt work you can also use 'save wav' this will also extract your ac3 file, but put a wave header to it. anyway, this shouldn't be a problem for besweet either
