Thanks for your understanding :) .

For example:

There were other postings I can remember, but I've searched in a hurry...

To answer your first questions:

1.) Certainly!
2.) For starters a cheap graphic (or TV card) card connected via s-video would be ok, to play around (audio connected to the audio in from your soundcard). It depends on your budget and what do you want (a 1000$ capture card for VCD backups is, of course, overkill)
3.) Depends on number 2., your capture hardware. For the graphic card solution use VirtualDub sync and so on.

Good night,

Mijo.

Only for records, I´m using an ASUS 7700 Deluxe and my motherboard has a SPDIF audio in/out. My LD/DVD is an DVL-700, and has S-Video out and Digital audio out. I connect the plugs, and when I tried to capture, an large white bar appears in the middle of all my LD capture....
After many research, I see in this forum that this is because the protection Macrovision is in the LD video. The only way to resolve this problem was using the WDM version 1.08.
Then all captures are OK !!!!
