I'm using TMPGEnc and the demo version of my MPEG-2 encoder has expired, making TMPGEnc useless to covert AVIs to SVCDs.

How can I do to find another encoder working with TMPGEnc, without having to buy the TMPGEnc Plus version (50 bucks!) .
I'd ready to pay, say, 15 bucks maxi.

Thanks for your advice :p

Really, $50 is a small price for an mpeg2 encoder. Mpeg2 licensing probably runs more than $15 dollars! For this very reason I don't know of any free mpeg2 encoders (does bbmpeg do mpeg2?) and TMPGEnc is the cheapest one I've found. Suck it up and buy it, would be my suggestion.

Doesn't DVDx have a really poor mpeg2 encoder?
