I'm converting a DivX file with MPEG 1.0 Layer 3 audio, so i want to ask if i can just demux the audio from the avi file and mux it into my MPEG2 file, or if i have to convert it to MPEG 1.0 Layer 2 first. Thanks :)

in PAL regions, Standalone DVD players MUST support decoding of PCM (well, sorta ;)), Mpeg Layer 2, AC3.
in NTSC regions, Standalone DVD players MUST support decoding of PCM and AC3.

OK, thanks all :) Does anyone know a good Layer 2 encoder? seems all the MP3 encoders today are Layer 3 (with good reason).
