Alright guys, I'm pretty much a newbie, but I've had good burns all the time with "MOVIE-ONLY" dvds. My problem is keeping the menu. I havent had one successful burn with a menu. Usually the movie doesnt auto play and sometimes i have to press stop then play, or it gets jammed and then goes to menu (Depending on the dvd player).
Ok heres the rundown. I run dvd decryptor. For example I just decrypted Ice Age. I open the vts_01_0 with IfoEdit and remove an extra audio language like french. Auto-copy menu, region free, get vts sectors on .ifo's. Then I burn with Nero 5.5.10.7 DVD VIDEO DEFAULT SETTINGS. Sometimes I do not even remove anything on vts_01_0
just region free, get sectors, and still no good. Of course I delete extras like vts_02, 03 and so on. And I'll admit sometimes I just decrypt just the movie files(i look for the largest) along with video ts and their respective ifo's and bups. Am I doing anything wrong? I've heard talks of Imgtools and daomon tools(SPELLING?sorry)
Do you think I should make an iso? Thanks for your help. I will check daily for to see if you guys need more specifics.

Head on to the IFOedit.com page and see the guide about backuping with movie and menu only.

29ways,

In your case, if you want your main menu to play immediately upon insert, you need to place a jump command to your main movie's root-menu in your First Play PGC. Here's a small guide.

-------------------------------------------------------------
1. Go to VIDEO_TS.IFO/VMGM_MAT/First Play PGC/PGC Command Table, edit your first jump command in your pre commands as follows. To edit right click and select edit command option.

NEW > #.Pre Command (JumpSS VTSM) Jump to TitleSet(vts): 1, Title(ttn): 1, root-menu [30 06 00 01 01 83 00 00 ]
-------------------------------------------------------------
2. Save VIDEO_TS.IFO
-------------------------------------------------------------
3. Press DVDPlay to preview and test
-------------------------------------------------------------

Since you are not keeping your extras(bonus materials), check out my "Disabling a Main Menu Button" guide in this link. 2COOL's Cheat Sheet List (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=43142).
It's also found in a sticky thread in IFOedit forum.

As for burning, I can only say what works for me. I use Imgtools 0.95 along with Nero 5.5.17.9. There are higher versions of Imgtools for you available but this version works for me. I haven't installed Nero 5.5.10.7 yet but I heard it works.
