Hi,

im trying to transer video from my old Sony Video 8 camera (mono) to my new Samsung 590i DV camera (stereo).

Everything works fine but i only get sound in one channel, i use the yellow rca cabel to video and the white rca cabel for audio (as you should) but still i only get sound on one channel.

What could i have missed?

Regards
Kenny

I don't understand the question. If you only connect through the white cable from a mono source, it is normal you only get one channel, no? Am I missing something?

Your stereo camcorder should have two input sockets for the two audio channels (one is red, the other one white). You probably need a Y-shaped adapter cable to split your mono signal to the stereo inputs.

Hi,

when capturing directly from analog camcorder to pc (wintv) with this "mono" white jacket i get "doubble" channel audio (but i get alot of framedroppings thas why i will go throug Dvcamcorder.)
I just bought a splitter to send my mono signal to the stereo DVcamcorder and i guess this will fix it.

Thanks
Kenny
